PRIVATE OBEDIENCE TRAINING
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Step 1: Initial In – Home Assessment
To kick of any private training program an initial in-home assessment is conducted in the comfort of your own home.
The assessment focuses on gathering as much information as possible about your dog and the issue(s) you are experiencing which allows us to provide the necessary training recommendations.

Initial assessments take up to 1.5 hours and will include;
- Recording a Detailed history of your dog
- Discussing the training issues you are experiencing
- Observing the training issues, where possible
- Conduct an Obedience Assessment
- A initial Diagnosis of issue(s)
- Discussion of recommended training points and management techniques

During the Initial Assessment you will be provided with training tips, helpful advice, training handouts and ongoing email/phone support for the life of the issue(s).
Step 2: Implementation of Training Recommendations
To reach your training objectives 2 methods of private training are available;
1. We train you to train your dog
We determine your training program based on the goals you want to achieve then we work through it with you and your dog, training you to train your dog.
Your training program will include an introduction into canine behaviour and body language, learning theories, and training methods, all which is used to assist you achieving your desired result.
You will receive a training diary to record your progress, behavioural training handouts, and ongoing email/phone support for the issue.
2. We train your dog, then train you
A trainer comes to your home and trains your dog based on the training program devised.
A prearrange time to provide you a handover is scheduled, where the trainer will demonstrate the skills taught and observe you conducting them.
You will be given a training diary that will be filled out by the trainer, behavioural handouts, and ongoing email/phone support for the issue.

After the training program is completed, your trainer will provide you with a training report that summarises the issues, training recommendations and outcomes.
